The WBF is very saddened to learn of the death on 3rd October of Beth Palmer, a multiple World Champion, who had qualified for the Venice Cup held in Wuhan but had been too unwell to participate. She held 6 Women’s World Championship titles and one Mixed Title as well as numerous NABC championships.
Beth will be known to all the top players as a worthy but gracious opponent, as well as someone much appreciated by all who knew her away from the table. She will be greatly missed by bridge players and administrators all over the world and we send our sincere condolences to her family and many friends and colleagues.
